In this article, learn about how Hylo Forte works for dry eye relief.

Tears are essential to the eyes. They are more than just some kind of liquid you shed when you’re sad or happy. Tears protect and keep your eyes healthy.

There are three types of tears – basal, reflex and emotional tears. Basal tears serve as the foremost protection of the eye. Reflex tears flush away irritants like smoke, dust and fumes, among others. Emotional tears, on the other hand, respond to great emotions like joy, sadness, fear or anger.

Whenever you blink, a protective layer of basal tears forms to avoid friction from irritating your eyes. If exposed to irritants, reflex tears help wash them away, keeping the surface of the eye smooth and clean.

The right amount and quality of tears keep the eyes lubricated and nourished. Our eyes naturally produce up to 15-30 gallons of tear each year. But, certain factors and conditions can cause irregular and insufficient production of tears.

Too much exposure to wind, air conditioning and sunlight or too much computer use and reading can cause the eyes to dry out. Eye conditions like Meibomian Gland Dysfunction can also hinder the eyes from having the right quality and amount of tears they need. You can develop dry eye disease if your eyes fail to produce enough tears or the type of tear film.

This is where Hylo Forte comes into the picture. Hylo Forte is an eye drop that provides long-lasting lubrication for dry eyes. It acts as artificial tears that provide soothing relief and treat mild to severe cases of dry eye disease.

Read on and learn more about artificial tears and Hylo Forte, a convenient treatment option for dry eyes.

Artificial Tears

Dry eyes is a chronic and progressive eye condition. But some treatments and medications that help in successfully treating and managing dry eyes, reducing the symptoms and providing greater eye comfort. Artificial tears are one of the most common treatments used for dry eyes.

Since dry eye disease is relatively complex, specialists have to put several factors into consideration when formulating substances that deal with tears deficiency. The factors include physiological properties of the surface fo the eye, the difficile structure of the tear film as well as the lubricating properties.

Artificial tears or Sodium Hyaluronate eye drops provide relief to patients suffering from eye dryness and irritation. They are used to relieve eye dryness and soreness. Sodium Hyaluronate is a safe, natural ingredient that can be found in several parts of the body like the eyes, joints and skin.

Artificial tears have the same consistency as natural tears and can provide lubrication to the treated eye. Aside from lubrication, Sodium Hyaluronate also helps in healing damaged cells on the surface of the eye caused by dry eyes.

There are several brands of eye drops that have Sodium Hyaluronate. One brand that stands out among the rest is Hylo Forte.
